A family in the Australian city of Melbourne has welcomed a big bundle of joy that could be the heaviest baby boy born in the state of Victoria.
Natashia Corrigan and her husband were overjoyed after the birth of their 6-plus-kilogram baby at Melbourne’s Mercy Hospital.
The boy has been named Brian Junior after her father. Both the mother and the child are in perfect health despite the slightly troublesome birth.
Born at 40 weeks and 5 days, normal nappies are already too small for Brian Junior who according to hospital staff is double the size of the average Australian baby. Local media say the baby may be the heaviest ever born in all of Victoria.
