Iranian gallery cafés

These are some of the stories covered in this episode of the Iran program:

Gallery Cafés:

You don’t have to be an artist to marvel at art. We all admire the beauty of art because of our innate aesthetic awareness. Do you know what else we innately admire? Food and drinks.

Epigraphy:

The fame Persians have for their ancient history is pretty much indebted to the account of events engraved on stones. The manuscripts our ancestors left behind are indications of them just being recreational at the time or that they actually envisioned the day we would decode their written scripts and try to understand the lives they lived. And so today, we treasure the messages they have left us.

Fretwork:

Some of us might think what we could make out of wood and metal would turn out to be a bit coarse and hefty. But crafty artists beg to differ.
