Britain’s Daniel Evans has booked his spot in the semi-final of ATP 250 Apia International Sydney, after beating top seed Dominic Thiem in 3 sets at the NSW Tennis Centre.
Thiem took control of the first set and won it 6-3, but the tables were turned in the 2nd set, as Evans took it 6-4 to level the match at 1 apiece.
The Brit then continued his fine form in the deciding set, breaking in 3 of Thiem's 4 service games, and won the match with a scoreline of 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 on Thursday.
The world number 67 will next take on Russia's Andrey Kuznetsov in the semis.
