NHL: Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 Minnesota Wild

In the National Hockey League, the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets have extended their franchise record winning streak to 15 following a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Wild with the help of Cam Atkinson at at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

The Blue Jackets took the lead midway through the first quarter when Atkinson beat the Minnesota goaltender on a breakaway, making it 1-nothing.

John Johnson and Atkinson then scored two more goals in the second period to give the visitors a commanding 3-nothing lead.

Mikael Granlund however, pulled one back for Wild on a power play goal but Columbus regained their three goal cushion before the second intermission through Seth Jones.

Jason Zucker gave Minnesota hope 24 seconds into the third quarter, but The Blue Jackets held on to their advantage to win the game 4-2.
