NHL: Blue Jackets crush Penguins 7-1

In the National Hockey League, the Columbus Blue Jackets have thrashed the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-1.

The Blue Jackets hosted defending Stanley Cup champions Pittsburgh at the Nationwide Arena. The visitors got on the score-sheet first through their star player Sidney Crosby who scored his 23rd goal of the season by swinging at a puck in mid-air.

Later in the opening period, Columbus drew level on a power play and then succeeded to crush the Penguins with another six goals to seal the huge victory.
