An American theater artist has devised a program to help adults with memory problems.

The program, which is called ‘Time-Slips’, encourages people with such diseases as Alzheimer's to create stories inspired by random pictures they're handed.

The program’s creator says ‘Time-Slips’ opens storytelling to everyone by replacing the pressure to remember with the freedom to imagine.

Experts believe the improvised method of storytelling helps adults respond creatively to pictures, objects and songs.

The program’s creator has already won grants to expand her plan. ‘Time-Slips’ has certified trainers in 41 US states and 12 countries.
