NHL: Flyers top Capitals 3-2 in shootout

In the National Hockey League, the Philadelphia Flyers have managed to brush aside the Washington Capitals 3-2 in shootout.

With the score tied at 2-all at the end of the regulation, the game was taken into overtime and later into shootout.

That’s when Wayne Simmonds scored the winning goal to seal the victory for the Flyers.
