La Liga Leaders Real Madrid have clinched their second FIFA Club World Cup title after defeating Japan’s Kashima Antlers 4-2 in extra time at Yokohama International stadium.

The reigning European Club Champions went ahead after just 8 minutes on Sunday.

Luka Modric's effort was saved by keeper and the rebound fell nicely for Karim Benzema to score his second goal of the contest.

But the Japanese side didn’t surrender and tied the match at 1 piece 1 minute before half-time when Gaku Shibasaki fired the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

And Kashima Antlers surprisingly managed to take the lead for the first time in the match in the 52nd minute through Shibasaki who scored his second of the night from long range.

The Galacticos, however, responded soon. The visitors won a penalty 6 minutes later and Portuguese Ace Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up and blasted the ball into the back of the net to send the game into extra time.

The reigning Ballon d'Or winner made it 3-2 in the 98th minute and then registered his hat-trick on 104 minutes as Real left Japan with their second FIFA Club World Cup title.
