Peruvian police dress as Santa Claus to arrest drug dealers
Peruvian National Police dressed as Santa Claus have raided the house of a suspected criminal in the capital and have arrested four drug traffickers.
Video footage shows a man dressed in a Santa outfit break down the door of a home in Lima before undercover officers stormed inside.
Police say the Santa Claus costumes were employed to help boost the raid team’s element of surprise. The disguised police members have seized over 4000 cocaine paste wrappings. Peru’s police forces use undercover Santas almost every year to carry out operations.
