Attacks in Turkey linked with Syria policy

Throughout the devastating war in Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been staunchly against the government of President Bashar al-Assad. Ankara has repeatedly been accused of providing support to Daesh. But since Turkey’s active engagement in Syria to protect its border from alleged Kurdish expansionism, Ankara has come into direct conflict with Daesh.
