Italy’s President Mattarella has given Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni a mandate to form a new government to steer the country out of a political crisis triggered by former Prime Minister Renzi’s resignation. A list of new ministers may be announced as early as Monday. Our correspondent Max Civili reports from Rome.
