Urban structures, wind towers, and traditional shoes in Iran

Iran's Urban Sculptures

These are some of the stories covered in this episode of IRAN program:

Urban sculptures

We subconsciously make presumptions about people by the way they dress or how they decorate their homes. People’s taste in choosing ornaments for decoration does tell us a lot about their character. And from a larger perspective, you can grasp people’s culture by the way they decorate their city.

Wind towers

The feature we are about to see reminds us how many of the inventions we have at our disposal today have taken a very long time to be carefully thought about, examined, and discussed.

Geeveh

And about the very interesting topic of “shoes!” Iranians have traditional types of shoes called “geeveh.” Golnar Farnoodi will show you classic geevehs are white and pretty plain. They could appease any taste. Perhaps for some modern Iranians they might be a little too plain. That is practically a non-issue now.
