Liverpool have lagged further behind in the Premier League title race after being held to a 2-all draw against West Ham United at Anfield.

Liverpool edged ahead inside five minutes with Adam Lallana's smart half-volley but the visitors leveled the match before the half-hour mark, when goalkeeper Loris Karius failed to deal with Dimitri Payet’s free kick.

With just six minutes left in the first half, Michail Antonio flicked the ball around the keeper and over the line, to make it 2-1 for West Ham.

Divock Origi found himself in the right place at the right time to provide the equalizer, scoring for a fourth successive game in all competitions. The result means that the Reds are six points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
