Tens of thousands of workers have rallied in Seoul and other cities across South Korea to demand the immediate resignation of President Park Geun-hye.

Park is engulfed in a corruption scandal, with prosecutors investigating allegations of extortion, bribery, and abuse of power in her administration.

South Korean police say they have arrested a man accused of setting fire to the birthplace of the father of suspended president Park.

The anger comes from what many on the streets of South Korea see as gross misconduct in public office by the state leader.
