People in Greece have worn Santa Claus costumes and run for charity in Athens.

Over 1000 men and women all dressed as Santa have attended the annual ‘Santa Run Athens’. They have paid a ten-euro participation fee to run in a 2.5 kilometer symbolic race that took place for the 3rd time in Athens.

After the race, shop owners offered refreshments to the participants. This year's competition profits will be given to a children's trauma clinic and to the Reception and Solidarity Center of the municipality of Athen.
