Deportivo La Coruna have recorded a convincing 5-1 victory over Real Sociedad, in a match that put an end to the 14th round of the Spanish La Liga.
Brazilian Sidnei da Silva opened the scoring in the 13th minute at the Riazor Stadium. Inigo Martinez scored an own goal to make it 2-0 to Deportivo and Florin Andone added a 3rd for the hosts before halftime.
Real Sociedad pulled 1 back some 12 minutes into the 2nd half but there was no come back for the visitors as Dutchman Ryan Babel scored a brace to seal the 5-1 victory for The Blue and Whites.
Deportivo have now climbed up to 16th in the standings following the win, while Real Sociedad sit in 6th with 23 points.
