Manchester United have been held to a 1-all draw by Everton, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first-half opener was cancelled out by a late Leighton Baines penalty at Goodison Park.

The Red Devils had controlled much of the game, and broke the deadlock in 42 minutes as Zlatan planted the ball home to Marten Stekelenburg 's right with a classy chip, registering his sixth goal in five outings.

But after the break, the home side began to gain momentum and finally leveled things up when Baines dispatched the spot-kick into the bottom left corner.

With the frustrating result, Jose Mourinho's men are now sixth in the Premier League table, having won just one of their last 8 league games.
