Austrian far-right candidate, Norbert Hofer, has conceded defeat in the country's presidential election. His rival, former Green Party leader, Alexander Van der Bellen, is expected to be sworn in as president in January. Observers had feared that a win for the Austrian far-right could trigger a domino effect with key elections next year in France, Germany and Netherlands.
