Arsenal have smashed West Ham United 5-1 at the London Stadium to move into second place in the standings.

On Saturday, the Gunners went ahead after 24th minute when Mesut Ozil scored with a simple tap-in as Arsenal proved somewhat Wasteful in the first half. But, the visitors found their rhythm after the break. Chilean international Alexis Sanchez scored two brilliant goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes, respectively, to give his side a commanding 3-0 lead.

Andy Carroll, however, managed to pull back for West ham, but Arsene Wenger's men responded with 2 more goals. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain curled home from distance and Sanchez wrapped-up his hat-trick by chipping the ball over the keeper to make it 5-1.

The result saw Arsenal climb into second place in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Chelsea.
