The first El Clasico of the season, ended in a 1-all draw, with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos scoring the equalizer in the 90th minute, to deny Barcelona a much-needed home win and help Zinedine Zidane’s men snatch a point at Camp Nou.
Just 2 minutes into the match on Saturday, Real thought they should have been awarded a penalty when Khavier Mascherano bundled Lucas Vasquez in the box.
However, no penalty was given. Referee Clos Gomez was also called-out for missing a penalty for Barcelona when Dani Carvajal apparently stopped a cross with his fore-arm before halftime.
Following a scoreless first half, the hosts took the lead 8 minutes into the 2nd half when Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez headed home the opener on Neymar's wonderful free-kick.
Neymar and Lionel Messi missed many scoring chances for Barca, and the Catalans paid the price when Ramos headed home Luka Modrić's free-kick in the 90th minute to salvage a draw for Los Blancos.
The stalemate stretched Madrid's unbeaten run in all competitions to 33 games, and are still at the top of the standings, 6-points clear of second-placed Barcelona.
