China reopens world’s ugliest wax museum

China reopens world’s ugliest wax museum in Sichuan province.

A museum in China that was once labeled as the world’s ugliest wax museum has been reopened.

The museum in Sichuan province features the figures of international celebrities including multiple Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps and tennis superstar Roger Federer.

The gallery came under fire earlier this year from celebrities who say they were not consulted before their figures were put on display.

The superstars have also threatened legal action against the museum. The Chinese museum became a social media sensation after visitors were shocked because of quote-poorly fashioned wax iterations of their favorite celebrities. Following the uproar, the museum redesigned some of the figures.
