Genoa advance into next round of Coppa Italia
Genoa have advanced into the next round of the Italian Cup, the Coppa Italia, after posting a hard-fought 4-3 victory over the visiting side Perugia.
Giovanni Simeone and Goran Pandev scored a goal each to give the hosts a 2-nil lead in the first half.
Perugia, however, made a great comeback after the break and managed to level the match through Rolando Bianchi and Jean Armel Drole, sending the match into extra time.
Genoa then scored 2 more times to take the tie to 4-2, before the visitors could only pull one back in the last few seconds of the game.
