EU calls on Ukraine to lift timber export ban

The European Union has called on Ukraine to lift a 10-year ban on round-wood exports. The EU argues the restriction is against the free trade deal Ukraine signed in 2014. However, as Press TV’s Lena Savchuk reports, many Ukrainians support the measure saying it has helped the domestic wood processing industry while preserving the country’s natural resources.
