British-based Bahraini activists are calling on Prime Minister Theresa May to help uphold the human rights of the people of Bahrain ahead of her visit to the Persian Gulf kingdom next week. Critics of the Al Khalifa regime cite the upcoming trials of prominent opposition figures Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim and Sheikh Ali Salman as new examples of Manama ignoring the will of the Bahraini people and they want the British prime minister to act immediately.
