Inter Milan have survived a second-half fightback by Fiorentina, as new coach Stefano Pioli secured his first win in charge of The Black and Blues.

Inter Milan scored 3 early goals through Marcelo Brozovic, Antonio Candreva, and Mauro Icardi on Monday.

Nikola Kalinic answered one of the goals to make it 3-1 in the 37th minute. But the visitors found themselves in more trouble as their defender Gonzalo Rodriguez was shown a red card in the first-half of stoppage time.

Josip Ilicic cut Fiorentina’s deficit to 1 when he scored with an angled shot in the 62nd minute, but they fell short of completing a comeback, as Icardi scored his 2nd of the night in stoppage time to seal a 4-2 win for Inter Milan, which sees them move up to 8th place in the standings.
