Mexico has opened the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve for tourist visits.
Millions of black and orange monarch, the world's farthest-migrating butterfly, travel from Canada and the US to the Mexican forests every November.
Earlier this year, data suggested that the monarch was on the rebound and their numbers could soon reach about 150,000,000.
Bad weather is the main cause of their decline. The Reserve’s mission is to protect the butterfly species and its habitat.
