Lewis Hamilton sets the pace in both of Friday's practice sessions ahead of the season-ending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton needs to win Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and hope that Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg fails to make the podium if the Brit is to retain his world championship title for the 3rd year in a row.

The Englishman did all he could in the first 2 practice sessions at the Yas Marina Circuit by clocking the fastest time in both practices.

Hamilton was 0.374 seconds faster than Rosberg in the opening session and 0.079 seconds quicker in the second, and if that order is repeated on Sunday, Rosberg will win his first Formula 1 world title by 385 points to 380.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel was 3rd best in the evening session only 0.269 seconds behind Hamilton.
