Turkey: Vote to freeze membership talks has no value

The European Parliament has voted in favor of a motion to temporarily halt the European Union's membership talks with Turkey. The parliament slams Turkey’s reaction to July's failed coup as disproportionate. Ankara, however, dismisses the allegation, describing the vote as breaching basic European values. Verenia Keet reports from Istanbul.
