India still owes over $2bn to Iran for oil imports

India is one of Iran’s oil customers in Asia, but the country still has unpaid debts to the Iranian National Oil Company that need to be cleared. According to India’s Petroleum Minister, New Delhi had owed over two billion dollars to Tehran up until May this year. It however says most of that debt is related to the private sector.
