Bruce Arena has become the new manager of the United States men's national football team for the second time, replacing Jurgen Klinsmann who was sacked from the post on Monday.

Klinsmann's dismissal comes after the US were beaten by Mexico and Costa Rica in their latest World Cup qualifiers.

Arena was the man in charge of the national team from 1998 to 2006, having led his country to the 2002 World Cup quarterfinals in his 1st spell in charge. But the 65-year-old left the team after the 2006 season, in which the Americans could not make it to the knockout stage of that year’s World Cup.
