Muslims on Sunday marked the magnificent annual Arba’een ritual. Millions gathered in the holy city of Karbala to mourn the 40th day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH), the 3rd Imam of Shia Muslims.

Upheaval in South Korea

Mass protests were held in Seoul on Saturday against South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye. This was the 4th protest in a weekly series of demonstrations aimed at forcing President Park to resign over a corruption scandal involving a close confidante.

The Trump men

US President-elect Donald Trump has unveiled hard-line picks for his cabinet. The nominations specifically reveal Trump’s intention to stick by his hard-line campaign pledges, including his promises on immigration policy, surveillance on Muslims as well as civil rights.
