Kashmir marks Arbaeen with large processions

Tens of thousands of people in Indian-controlled Kashmir have taken part in mourning ceremonies to mark Arbaeen; the end of a 40-day cycle of mourning and commemorations that follow Imam Hussein’s martyrdom anniversary. The grandson of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was martyred along with his 72 companions in Karbala in today’s Iraq back in 680 AD.
