Chelsea have temporarily moved to the top of the English Premier League, by posting a precious 1-nil away victory over Middleborough.

After a dull start, the visitors began to dominate the match, and broke the deadlock after the Boro defense made a mess of clearing the corner, and striker Diego Costa was on hand to lash home the winner and his 10th goal of the season.

The Blues leapfrogged Liverpool and Manchester City to go a point clear at the top, while Middleborough remain one point above the relegation zone in 15th place.
