A Ukrainian pensioner has turned a part of his home into an art gallery and an 18th-century palace.
65-year-old ‘Chaika’ has spent 15 years to transform his house to a tourist hot spot. Locals have dubbed his home the 'Kiev Versailles'.
Many people travel to the apartment block on the outskirts of Ukraine's capital to catch a glimpse of the house.
Portraits of aristocrats, delicate molding and antique columns can be seen in the gallery. The artist has decorated 3 floors of the 9-storey building so far, and plans to turn all of it into an artwork.
