NHL: Blue Jackets beat Capitals 2-1 in overtime

In the National Hockey League, the Columbus Blue Jackets have managed to beat the Washington Capitals 2-1 in overtime.

After scoreless first period, Nicklas Backstrom scored to put the Capitals ahead. However, Zach Werenski pulled the Blue Jackets even with seven minutes remaining in the third period.

Tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, the game went to overtime. That’s when Cam Atkinson scored to give the Blue Jackets their six straight win at home.
