Members of a samurai performance group walk the streets of Japan collecting trash with their swords.

The group, consisting of 5 members, started to clean the streets in April. At the beginning, they just worked for about two hours every Sunday afternoon. They picked up trash on streets and put it into a bamboo basket.

The samurais now want to attract many people to pay more attention to them making the town cleaner. Some people also help the group’s members clean the streets.

This has made the group’s members feel their activities are valuable. The samurais have labeled themselves as "ambassadors of urban development."
