ATP World Tour Finals: Murray beats Cilic in straight sets

Andy Murray celebrates after beating Marin Cilic in straight sets.

The new world No 1 Andy Murray has started his ATP World Tour Finals in style, after overpowering Croatia’s Marin Cilic in straight sets in London.

The Scot showed some flawless performance on Monday, and only needed 90 minutes to outclass 7th seed Cilic at the O2 arena.

Murray won the match with a score line of 6-3, 6-2, to wrap up a 20th consecutive victory, as he looks to add to the four consecutive titles he won in Beijing, Shanghai, Vienna and Paris.

That's while, The 29-year-old must win the Tour Finals title for the first time, to guarantee ending the year 2016 in pole position. Anything less than that, will give Serbia’s Novak Djokovic a chance to take over the No 1 spot.
