MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo quickest during Valencia practice

Triple MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo has clocked the fastest time in the practice session ahead of the season-ending Valencia Grand Prix.

The Spaniard recorded a blistering time of 1 minute and 30.463 seconds at the Ricardo Tormo circuit to take top spot and edge out compatriot and world champion Marc Marquez.

Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales finished third with Tech3 Yamaha rider Pol Espargaro back in forth. Lorenzo can finish no higher than third in the championship which has already been wrapped by Marquez who claimed his third title in four years last month in Japan.
