Controversial North Dakota Oil Pipeline

It is called the North Dakota Oil Pipeline, and since its approval back in 2014, it has been mired in controversy. Environmentalists say that the drilling and its transport will cause severe environmental damage, especially when it comes to the drinking water.

American Indians say this is going through their holy lands. Is this another case of a big oil company getting its way? Even though contingency plans now being considered, the US government has trampled on the rights and territory of its native American Indians many time before.
