In the National Hockey league, the Ottawa Senators beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in the shootout to hand the team their second defeat in the row on Wednesday.

Nicholas Baptiste scored the opener for Buffalo in the first period before Ryan Dzingel tied the game early in the second.

No goals went either ways from then onwards. And so the game went into overtime and later to a shootout. That’s when Bobby Ryan scored to seal the 2-1 victory for the Senators.
