US foreign policy based on destruction, aggression: Analyst

The United States has time and again come under criticism for the numerous wars it has waged in Northern Africa and the Middle East. Many experts even believe that rogue elements within the US government orchestrated the September 11, 2001 attacks in order to accelerate the US war machine.

Mike Harris, editor of Veterans Today, says the United States has pursued a foreign policy of “destruction and aggression” since the invasion of Iraq in 1991.

“The foreign policy that the US has employed since [former US President] George Herbert Walker Bush first invaded Iraq 27 years ago has really been a foreign policy of destruction and aggression. His son [former US president] George W. Bush also deployed a foreign policy of aggression,” the analyst told Press TV.

He went on to say that the US foreign policy is a “disaster”, adding that if the 9/11 attacks had never happened, no country in the world would have tolerated the American approach.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the analyst argued that the middle class in the United States is “shrinking” and the country itself is dying right now. He also criticized the Bush administration for spending trillions of dollars on destroying the Middle Eastern countries instead of investing the money in the United States.

He further dismissed the trade agreements which were signed during Bill Clinton’s presidency as “an unmitigated disaster” for the American working class.

Harris concluded by saying that Donald Trump’s vision of America is much “more accurate” than that of Hillary Clinton or President Barack Obama.
