La Liga: Barcelona edge past hosts Sevilla 2-1

Spanish giants Barcelona have posted a 2-1 away win against Sevilla to move within 2 points of arch-rivals and league leaders Real Madrid.

The Catalans’ lack-luster demonstration in the first half cost them dearly as they conceded a goal 15 minutes into the match when Vietto found the back of the net with a close-range effort.

Lionel Messi’s morale boosting equalizer came just before the break, which was followed by a second half winner when Messi this time picked out Luis Suarez in the box and the Uruguayan striker slotted his effort through the legs of the Sevilla keeper.
