The Czech Republic’s annual high wheel race has attracted hundreds of bicycle enthusiasts to the autumn park of the country’s capital Prague.

The annual penny farthing event held at the park called Letna included a 1.6-kilometer race accompanied by several other acrobatic acts with antique asymmetrical bikes.

Like previous years, the event included various mishaps from a humorous moment of imbalance to serious accidents due to collision.

To amuse the crowd even more, this year’s event included an additional segment called the “Letna snail” which involved climbing onto the bike in the slowest way possible without falling off.

The event also highlights the Czech Republic’s culinary customs as participants are provided with traditional snacks including chocolate, beetroot, jelly, pastries and cakes.
