Amnesty report links refugee abuses in Italy to EU’s migrant policy

Amnesty International has reported several cases of refugee abuses and human right violations in Italy. The rights group says the abuses are the direct consequence of the so-called hotspot approach, the European Union’s flagship response to new arrivals on the continent in 2015.
