The world No.1 Novak Djokovic is through to the quarterfinals of the event after beating Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in 3 sets.
However, Djokovic was given a run for his money before claiming a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory. The 29 year old Serb has been the world No.1 for 122 weeks, and if he doesn’t reach the final in Paris, and Andy Murray does, the Brit will take his place at the top.
Meanwhile, Croatia's Marin Cilic is also through to the quarters after beating Belgium's David Goffin 6-3, 7-6.
The victory makes Cilic the 7th player to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals, which has only 1 place remaining.
America’s Jack Sock joins Cilic in the last 8 after defeating Richard Gasquet in 3 sets. The match ended 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 in his favor.
Meanwhile, Milos Raonic made a great comeback after a slow start, to dismiss 16th seeded Pablo Cuevas in 3 sets.
The Uruguayan needed over 2 hours to dispatch Cuevas 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
