President Aoun asks Hariri to form government

Lebanon’s newly elected president Michel Aoun has asked former Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri to form the country’s next government. Hariri was endorsed by 112 out of 127 MPs. The prime minister-designate now faces the tough task of forming a cabinet out of the country's various political factions.
