EU, international community criticize Ankara's plan to reinstate death penalty

Since the failed military coup in July, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly stated he would endorse the reinstatement of the death penalty. The government defends the move as a demand of the people, while civil society groups appear to be completely against it. Our correspondent Verenia Keet brings us more details from Istanbul.
