Top court’s intervention ends violent protests in Pakistan

The Supreme Court of Pakistan is probing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members for their alleged investment in offshore companies. Sharif has been under public pressure for the past several months after his family members were named in the so-called Panama papers leaks as owners of offshore bank accounts.
