Pakistani Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has been removed from office over a newspaper leak that sparked a rift between the army and the government. The sacking of the minister appears to be aimed at pacifying the powerful army at a time when the government is bracing itself for the opposition’s protest rally on November 2.
