Microsoft has unveiled a new device called Surface and announced adding 3D features to its old products.

During its fall press event, the US tech company introduced a free Windows-10 update package set to be released in early 2017.

The new Microsoft tools enable users to create, share and draw images in 3D. A new image-editing software also makes it possible to introduce the existing 2D images to the third dimension.

Microsoft also introduced its new Surface Studio which is a high-end desktop targeted at architects, artists and engineers.

The 28-inch display is on a flexible hinge that be used upright or tilt to as low as 20 degrees. Microsoft says its innovations over the past decade have focused on consumption.
